What is the level of management support, in the form of recognition, funding and allocation of resources?

Description:  Is there recognition, acceptance and communication at the appropriate level of management?  Are funding and other resources allocated, as necessary, for the requirements of the factor being measured?  This may be any component, feature or expanded topic which is being assessed during the Business Intelligence audit.  Management may give verbal support to quality data, but may not be willing to commit to a Master Data Management program or other quality information initiatives.

Also, judge the level of management support which is required.  For example, the creation of a data warehouse requires support at top business and IT management levels.   Once the infrastructures have been implemented, then there may be need for a different kind of support.

Metrics:   We will measure the level of support versus that legvel which is necessary to make for success.   This includes resources committed, training, communications, etc.
