KPI: Adaptability
This KPI is a measure of the capability for rapid response to the changing needs for Business Intelligence. All the BI asset components must be designed for flexibility. They must have the capability to gorw and evolve along with the organization understanding and requirements for business intelligence, as well as, for changing technologies. This means, for example, that a data wrehouse staging library should be able to accommodate new files and categories of files as technology changes. We should be factoring in such possibilities as new acquisitions, new technologies, and other changing business requirements.
Metrics:
1. Can the component/construct be expanded in terms of related functionality?
2. Can new, related requirements be accommodated easily?
3. How well are evolving business requirements handled?
4. Can the construct/component be applied to other areas of the organization which need similar functionality?
5. Data/Information. Can additional requirements for data, files, classes be added easily?
6. How well can we incorporate new and/or changing technologies?
7. How well can we handle such organization restructures as acquisition?

The Key Performance Indicators are the metrics which are used in measuring the Business Intelligence Asset Base/ Infrastructures. (Organization, People, and Business Processes use different metrics.)
