KPI: Performance
Thjs KPI, Performance, does not correlate exactly to the critical to quality factor, performance. The CTQ factor is used to monitor the quality of the product for the customer and most often refers to response times. This KPI is used to measure how well a construct or component meets the defined requirements for each. This may mean assessing the Technical infrastructure and rating the ETL software based on certain performance characteristics which are specific to those constructs.
Metrics:
1. Specific, documented requirements for each component/construct within the business intelligence asset base.
2. Are these documented requirements designed to capture the specific nature of the component/construct?
3. Identify and rate the actual characteristics in relation to the documented requirements - i.e. in terms of delivery of service, response times, or similar specifics.

The Key Performance Indicators are the metrics which are used in measuring the Business Intelligence Asset Base/ Infrastructures. (Organization, People, and Business Processes use different metrics.)
