KPI: Product Quality
The Business Intelligence product is Information and the integration of that information with a human or systems expertise to use it. However, in using this KPI to measure each of the BI base components, we use the term 'product quality' to refer to the effectiveness and utility of the component being assessed. We should use this KPI wherever it will be helpful in the assessment process.
Metrics:
1. Identify specific characteristics of the item being assessed which indicate quality. These characteristics will depend on the component being assessed. Is this an ETL software for which the customer is the ETL designer/specialist. What are the expectations for quality from that customer?
2. Assess the product(component) based on the customer satisfaction with the identified quality characteristics.

The Key Performance Indicators are the metrics which are used in measuring the Business Intelligence Asset Base/ Infrastructures. (Organization, People, and Business Processes use different metrics.)
